About the Internship Program
The Stanford Finance Internship Program is crafted to offer students from diverse backgrounds an introductory glimpse into the dynamic world of finance. It is an inclusive program welcoming students of all academic years, majors, and skill levels. This internship program is scheduled for the Fall Quarter and does not serve as a mandatory prerequisite for applying to our Analyst Program.
The program comprises a series of professional development workshops aimed at equipping participants for finance recruitment during our Analyst Program application season in the fall, as well as internships and jobs for major finance firms. During the internship, participants will have the valuable opportunity to connect with board members, ask questions, and gain insights into the finance sector from students who have already gone through the recruiting process themselves.
About the Analyst Program
Every year, Stanford Finance offers its Analyst Program to Stanford students interested in careers in finance. The Analyst Program is designed to be inclusive, open to students of all years, majors, and skill levels. No prior experience in finance is expected - we are looking for motivated students interested in exploring the financial services industry. Through our informational sessions, coffee chats and workshops, we will prepare all students to interview for this exclusive program.
As a new change this year, the Analyst Program is a two-quarter program that will begin recruiting members during Fall Quarter. The application process consists of coffee chats, behavioral interviews and technical interviews, and it is designed to mimic the process of applying to positions at financial services firms while preparing applicants for the recruitment processes offered by many firms in the industry. For more detailed information regarding our application, please contact the VPs of Recruiting.
The Analyst Program consists of four core components:
A workshop series, which is also open to the general public, educates interested undergraduates, prepares them for job applications and interviews, and teaches them the technical skills they will need for their prestigious positions.
Networking events enable the Analysts to form professional connections with visiting financial institutions, from bulge-bracket and premier boutiques. These events also help our analysts find mentors and secure internships, often before traditional, on-campus recruiting begins.
A mentorship program connects each Analyst with one student mentor, a Stanford Finance Officer, who will provide private training and advice, and one alumni mentor, a finance professional, who has been working in the industry for at least several years.
Access to the alumni database links Analysts to a diverse and accomplished alumni network. Members can tap the alumni network to gain key insights into careers in finance and will gain lifelong membership in the Stanford Finance community.
Our members have a history of landing the most competitive internships on Wall Street. We are looking for members who are disciplined and driven. Above all, we are looking for members who will embody and further Stanford Finance's core values of leadership with integrity and commitment to each other's success.
